Products
An ordinary concrete mixture. Uses for Sidewalks, driveways, walkways, pedestrian hardscapes, floors, pool decks and patios. World's most widely used building material.
A concrete mixture designed with a small sized coarse aggregate that should be pumped. Uses for Floor toppings, columns or walls with tight reinforcements. Concrete can be placed in very tight areas.
A concrete mixture designed with a small sized coarse aggregate. Uses for Floor toppings, Columns or walls with tight reinforcement, other applications where #67 rock is too large. Concrete can be placed in very tight areas.
A concrete mixture designed to be stamped for decorative applications. Stamped concrete is concrete that is patterned to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile and even wood. Uses for Sidewalks, driveways, walkways, pedestrian hardscapes, floors, pool decks and patios. Low maintenance, durability, pleasing hardscape and affordable cost — no grass and dirt will get between the brick or stone because stamped concrete is laid in one single monolithic pour.
Controlled low-strength material (CLSM) is a self-compacted, cementitious material used primarily as a backfill in place of compacted fill. Uses for Backfill, structural fill and other uses such as filling-abandoned underground storage tanks, tunnel shafts and sewers. Ease of re-excavation, lower in-place cost in certain applications, worker safety, reduced maintenance, utility identification, reduced project scheduling and design flexibility.
A polypropylene fiber mesh product added at the concrete plant that eliminates the use of wire mesh. Fiber gives consistent reinforcement throughout the concrete mix. It also reduces the square foot cost for the contractor. Fiber eliminates the labor associated with wire mesh. If fibermesh is not properly placed above the ground with chairs, it will lay on the bottom of the slab instead of in the middle where it needs to be to prevent shrinkage cracks. It should be noted that steel fibers are also available and can increase tensile strength, offer excellent crack control, reduce floor thickness and increase load bearing capacity.
This slows down the hydration process and results in longer setting times. Retarder is commonly used in hot weather conditions as it slows down the finishing process. When the temperature is above 85 degrees or when concrete is being placed in direct sun light in hot weather, the hydration process is greatly accelerated. Retarder helps to slow down the hydration process to provide enough time to place the concrete.
Superplasticizer is a water reducing admixture that is added at the concrete plant. It produces a high slump and increases flowablity. Superplasticizer is commonly used for pumping concrete, high strength concrete and enabling the concrete to flow around rebar and matting. Superplasticizer is useful for getting concrete into tight areas such as corners and turns without using excessive water.
Coloring agents can be added either on the job site or at the concrete plant. Colorin agents come in liquid and powder forms from Davis Colors or L.M. Scofield.
